Currently one of the core expressions from Ardbeg. \u00a0Corryvreckan is bottled at 57.1%, similar to Uigeadail’s 54.2%. \u00a0You can enjoy this one neat, but with a little water you’ll get a some additional earthy notes.<\/p>\n

Nose<\/h3>\n

Blackened ham, texas barbecue, mesquite. \u00a0Well humidified cigars and white pepper. \u00a0Dried raspberries and dry vanilla. \u00a0Dry overall. \u00a0Hints of salt and medicine.<\/p>\n

Palate<\/h3>\n

A youthful greeting, sweet and woody. \u00a0Surprisingly balanced smoke and citrus. \u00a0White grapes. \u00a0Hints of mustiness and bourbon. \u00a0Somewhat thick mouthfeel.<\/p>\n

Finish<\/h3>\n

Grassy bitterness, gentle warm smoke, and dry cedar. \u00a0Long lasting.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h3>\n

A delicious whisky. \u00a0My favorite of the Ardbeg core range. \u00a0I would be slightly happier if it was the same price as Uigeadail (~$65). \u00a0Nevertheless, Corryvreckan is an incredibly rewarding whisky!<\/p>\n
